R. Jeffrey Burgfechtel is a partner at the law firm of Burgfechtel & Parent. James T. Parent is a partner at the law firm of Burgfechtel & Parent. Mr. Parent appears in courts all over Wisconsin, but primarily in Western Wisconsin including Barron, Buffalo, Burnett, Chippewa, Dunn, Eau Claire, Pepin, Pierce, Polk, Rusk, Sawyer, St. Croix, Trempealeau and Washburn counties.

Mr. Parent was born and raised in Phillips, Wisconsin. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire in 1986 where he served with distinction as the University’s Student Body Vice-President. He later attended and graduated from Hamline University School of Law in 1989. While in law school, he received the American Jurisprudence Award for excellent achievement in the study of Legal Advocacy. Mr. Parent is licensed in Wisconsin and Minnesota and is also admitted to practice in the U.S. Federal District Courts of Minnesota and the Western District of Wisconsin.
Charles S. Huff is a partner at the law firm of Burgfechtel & Parent. Like his partners, he covers Barron, Buffalo, Burnett, Chippewa, Dunn, Eau Claire, Pepin, Pierce, Polk, Rusk, Sawyer, St. Croix, Trempealeau and Washburn counties.
Mr. Huff handles primarily criminal cases. Mr. Huff has represented clients who have been accused of homicide, armed robbery, sex crimes, battery, assault, shop lifting, theft, forgery, drug delivery and possession cases, drunk driving, domestic abuse matters and white collar crimes. For approximately ten years before joining Burgfechtel & Parent, Mr. Huff practiced law as a criminal defense attorney in Chicago, Illinois. Now, he applies his knowledge and experience for the benefit of clients accused of crimes in West Central Wisconsin.
